A decorative Maneki Neko lucky cat for money luck, finished with Hakuichi foil craftsmanship. It works well as a gift item, souvenir, shop display, or small interior accent connected to Japanese good-luck culture.
It is suitable for home interiors, personal collections, and gifts for people who appreciate Japanese craft.
How it's made
Kanazawa gold leaf
Almost all of Japan's gold leaf comes from Kanazawa, where it has been made for over 400 years. Gold is mixed with a little silver and copper, rolled thin, then pounded again and again between sheets of special paper until just 2 g of gold covers the area of a tatami mat. Since 1975 Hakuichi has used this leaf beyond temples and altars, finishing everyday pieces by hand so each one catches the light in its own way.
